Mila4Africa Kenya foundation activities initially covered West African countries such as Senegal, Guinea Conakry and Guinea Bissau. Since 2023, the work has also affected East Africa – Kenya and Tanzania.
In Senegal, the main activities are:
- Targeted assistance to large low-income families with children with albinism: provision of medical and food assistance, assistance in improving housing conditions;
• Construction of mosques and boreholes for the local population, who are predominantly Muslim;
- Support and development of the local Koran school: monthly food support, purchase of Korans, uniforms ( clothes ) for children, mosquito nets, carpets, linen e.t.c as needed
- Providing more than 100 poor street orphans with the opportunity to have a roof over their heads, eat three full meals a day, and attend school through their participation in the Young Star Boys football club, which was also founded by Mila Anufrieva and local football coach in Dakar, Moussa Camara. The foundation rents a center for the club, where most of the children live permanently. This is the only one totally free football club in Senegal.
In 2021, the Mila Anufrieva Foundation has built the first specialized center in West Africa for children with albinism, which currently educates more than 200 children with albinism of different ages.
In Guinea-Conakry:
- Provision of targeted medical care to the local population with albinism upon request ( including payment for high-tech operations and rehabilitations ).
- Maintenance and rent of a center where more than 60 orphans with albinism live, who were previously forced to beg at the local market. The children go to school, they receive medical care, and for older children the foundation pays for courses that allow them to acquire skills for future work.
In Guinea-Bissau:
